Over-glaze or On-glaze painting colour that I use is from Germany  called Manabu Ceramica. In general, you can use painted plates or cups for food and drinks. The manufacture recommend not to paint cutting surfaces and drinking edges as abrasion from cutlery can damage the panting and no direct food contact. Furthermore it is harmless to be baked in the oven and diswasher save.
